Job summary

AXA Hong Kong and Macau is seeking an experienced underwriting professional to support profitable growth in Commercial and Personal lines. You will deliver underwriting quality and strong service to agents and brokers while ensuring compliance with guidelines.

You will participate in underwriting, product promotion and insurtech developments, and handle ad-hoc projects with a proactive, team-oriented approach. Fluency in English and Chinese is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher diploma in business administration or insurance related disciplines.
• At least 5 years’ experience in GI underwriting or business development with minimum 1 year’s experience at supervisor level.
• Good knowledge of GI underwriting and local intermediary distribution channel.
• Qualified IIQE paper 1-2 or ACII or Senior Associate of ANZ II or other related professional insurance qualifications preferred.
• Team player with great initiative, positive and ability to work under pressure.
• Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Support the business team to achieve profitable business growth in Commercial and Personal lines businesses and other business targets
• Deliver quality underwriting and customer services to the designed Agents and Brokers
• Ensure daily works to comply with the company’s underwriting guidelines and legal/compliance measures
• Participate in underwriting, product promotion, product development and insurtech platform development
• Responsible for ad-hoc tasks; projects as assigned
