Job summary

Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking an experienced software professional to collect and analyze user requirements, produce detailed specifications, and drive development across banking systems, especially Treasury platforms. You will supervise teams, participate in testing, and manage project documentation and escalation.

The role requires 5+ years in Java and/or Python, strong leadership and communication, and fluency in Cantonese with good English.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related disciplines
• At least 5 years solid development experience in Java and/or Python
• Working on banking systems, especially on Treasury area, would be an advantage
• Prior experience in treasury systems such as Murex, Summit, Calypso, etc preferred
• Familiar with SDLC
• Self-motivated and possess strong leadership, project management, analytical, problem solving, communication skills would be a definite advantage
• Fluent in Cantonese and good in spoken & written English, knowledge of Mandarin is a plus
• Willing to work under pressure in a competent, challenging, and team-working environment

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze user requirements and produce functional and/or system specifications
• Supervise or coordinate development teams to ensure quality of deliverables
• Participate in development and testing activities, and perform system support, configuration and maintenance
• Manage project processes, documentation, progress reporting, status meetings and escalation
• Collaborate with business analysts, vendors and other functional teams on system analysis, effort estimation, design, development, testing, implementation and troubleshooting
