Job summary

Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a seasoned System Analyst to transform user requirements into technical designs and lead development efforts within the Retail Banking sector. You will coordinate with offshore teams and ensure timely delivery of system enhancements and fixes.

The role requires 5+ years of experience in analysis and design, strong Java/J2EE/Spring/Maven skills, and excellent communication. Fluency in English and Chinese is expected, with Putonghua being an advantage.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related disciplines.
• 5+ years of experience in system analysis, application design, system development and implementation, preferably in banking or finance sector.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Experience with Java, J2EE, Spring, Maven, CSS, AngularJS, IBM WebSphere, MQ, MSSQL and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of Retail Banking's Investment and wealth management products or sales process and related transactions is a plus.
• Effective communications with all levels of organization and staff.
• Good team player with a positive attitude, self-motivation and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements and transform to technical design.
• Implement or enhance system functionalities to fulfill business requirements from the Retail Banking sector.
• Troubleshoot problems and propose solutions; collaborate with developers and external parties on time-critical tasks.
• Manage an off-shore development team and provide guidance.
• Monitor overall development progress and perform code reviews to maintain deliverables quality.
• Support UAT and system-wide BAU tasks.
• Provide 7x24 production support (by roster).
