Job summary

Bank of China (Hong Kong) is seeking an experienced IT professional to collect and analyze user requirements and translate them into functional specifications for banking applications. You will supervise development teams and ensure high quality deliverables.

The role involves participating in development and testing, supporting maintenance, and coordinating with external parties to meet project deadlines and budgets.

Qualifications

• Degree holder or above in Computer Science or related disciplines.
• 5+ years of solid experience in Java, JMS, Web service, Websphere, Oracle, SQL, MQ, Python, shell scripts, UNIX, AIX.
• Experience in Corporate Banking, Custody, Corporate Trust and Agency Business is highly preferred.
• Familiar with system development life cycle, testing and quality assurance process.
• Strong analytical skill, system design experience.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation and problem solving skills.
• Self-motivated, willing to work in competent, challenging and team-work environment.
• Good command in both written and spoken Chinese and English, knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.
• Experience in being a leadership role will be an advantage; candidate with less experience will be considered as Application Development Manager.

Responsibilities

• To collect and analyze user requirements, produce functional and/or system specifications and build or enhance application systems to cope with business needs.
• To supervise or coordinate development teams to ensure quality of deliverables.
• Participating in development and testing activities, and perform support & maintenance activities.
• Collaborating with external parties to complete the project on time and within budget.
