Job summary

Raffles Family Office is seeking a trade execution professional to support PMs/RMs by coordinating execution with approved counterparties such as private banks. The role requires pre-trade checks, accurate trade capture, and strong documentation and audit trail maintenance.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in trade operations within a financial institution, fluent English/Mandarin/Cantonese, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Family-office experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related discipline.
• 3–5 years’ experience in trade execution or dealing operations, preferably in a financial institution.
• Experience coordinating execution with external counterparties like private banks or custodians.
• Fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese (written and spoken).
• Strong team player with ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and coordinate trade instructions with PMs/RMs and approved counterparties.
• Perform pre-trade due diligence checks including mandate/suitability and credit limit validation.
• Ensure orders are executed and tracked; manage status and follow-ups.
• Maintain accurate trade capture, confirmations and reconciliation; resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain client profiles and RFO service knowledge to respond to queries as needed (non-advisory).
• Support coordinating execution with external counterparties and ensure proper documentation.

Primary Responsibilities

• Receive trade instructions from PMs/RMs and coordinate execution via approved counterparties (e.g., private banks)
• Perform pre-trade due diligence checks, including mandate/suitability (where applicable) and credit limit/exposure validation.
• Ensure trade orders are executed and processed properly; track order status and follow up on pending/amended/cancelled trades.
• Ensure accurate trade capture, confirmations and reconciliation to avoid incidents and dealing errors; escape discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain strong market awareness to support execution timing and cut-offs, and maintain complete documentation and audit trails.
• Maintain working knowledge of clients’ profiles and RFO service offerings to support coordination and respond to client queries when required (non-advisory).

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years’ experience in trade execution, dealing operations, trading operations, or execution support, preferably within a financial institution (e.g., private bank or asset manager); family office experience is a plus.
• Experience coordinating execution with external counterparties (e.g., private banks, brokers, custodians).
• Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, both written and spoken.
• Strong team player with a flexible mindset and solid interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented, able to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidates with prior experience as an Assistant Relationship Manager will also be considered.
