Job summary

NTUC Health Co-operative Limited in Singapore seeks a Therapy Assistant to support Therapists and exercise trainers across nursing homes and day centres. You will help prepare treatment areas, assist residents during therapy, and ensure equipment and supplies are ready for daily sessions.

You should be able to work in a collaborative team, communicate effectively, and use Google Suite competently. A WSQ Certificate in Therapy Services is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Thrive in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
• Have strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Be proficient in Google Suite Applications.
• Minimum WSQ Certificate in Therapy Services.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Therapist or exercise trainer in all activities of therapy treatment or fitness programme.
• Transport residents safely to and from treatment areas, secure them into or onto therapy equipment.
• Motivate and assist residents/clients in practicing exercises and functional activities, under broad supervision.
• Conduct group exercises such as circuit training or Occupational Therapy (OT) groups.
• Observe clients during treatment to note client’s responses and progress.
• Report to a Therapist or Exercise Trainer for quality care improvement.
• Ensure tidiness and cleanliness of the therapy area and disinfect equipment after treatment.
• Ensure adequate stock of rehab supplies and expendables for the department.
