Job summary

Solactive AG, a global FinTech company, is seeking a quantitative professional to manage a diverse portfolio of thematic equity indices from Hong Kong. You will balance operational execution with understanding of investment strategies, ensuring accurate rebalancing and timely delivery across cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Financial Mathematics or Engineering is required.
• Fluency in English is required; other languages (Korean, Mandarin, Japanese, Cantonese) are an asset.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills; ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Experience with equity markets, derivatives, or index maintenance is preferred.
• Proficiency in Python is required; VBA/MATLAB/SQL are assets.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee a diverse portfolio of thematic equity indices, ensuring accuracy, stability, and timely delivery across rebalancing cycles.
• Execute systematic, rules-based selection and rebalancing of Solactive and client indices.
• Conduct research on thematic investment trends and apply quantitative, rules-based approaches for index selection and weighting.
• Act as a key contact for international clients, translating complex thematic concepts into clear, actionable insights.
• Enhance and maintain index algorithms within the company’s framework.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in index operations.
• Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts and developers across the software lifecycle.
