Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Bartender or in a similar bar/beverage role.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines and beverages.
• Excellent customer service under pressure.
• Proficiency in bar management systems and POS tills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Formal training or certification in responsible alcohol service is desirable.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift stock.

About the role

Liquid Gold Corporation Limited is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Bartender to join our team on a full-time basis in the Central and Western District. As a Bartender, you will be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional service and crafting quality beverages that keep our guests coming back. This is a dynamic role where you'll be central to creating memorable experiences for our customers whilst maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, spirits, wines ensuring consistency and quality with every drink
• Provide attentive, professional and friendly customer service to all patrons, responding promptly to requests and building rapport with guests
• Maintain an organised and clean bar area, including regular restocking of spirits, mixers, glassware and other supplies
• Monitor customer behaviour and ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with all legal requirements and company policies
• Suggest beverages and recommend pairings based on customer preferences and occasions
• Follow health and safety regulations, maintaining the highest standards of personal hygiene and bar cleanliness
• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods
• Contribute to the bar's atmosphere through positive engagement and professionalism

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a Bartender or in a similar bar and beverage role within the hospitality industry
• Strong knowledge of cocktail recipes, spirits, wines and other beverages, with the ability to create classic and innovative drinks
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure and during peak service times
• Proficiency in using bar management systems and point-of-sale (POS) tills
• Ability to multitask whilst maintaining quality and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact positively with diverse customers and colleagues
• Formal training or certification in responsible alcohol service is highly desirable
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift and carry stock items
