Job summary

EEB - Gtech Joint Venture is seeking an Electrical Engineer for night/weekend commissioning work on railway HV/LV systems in Hong Kong. You will ensure fault identification, testing per procedures, and delivery of commissioning reports, with calibration checks on tools and fault analysis.

Candidates should have a Diploma or higher in Electrical Engineering, 5 years in E&M construction/commissioning, and be proficient in Cantonese and English. Cantonese/English reading and writing required.

Qualifications

• High Diploma or above in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5 years of relevant work experience in E&M construction, testing and commissioning.
• Experience with maintenance/commissioning of MTR or E&M power supply equipment is advantageous.
• Willing to work night shifts, weekends and public holidays if required.
• Proficiency in Cantonese and English; reading/writing in both languages.

Responsibilities

• Support projects on railway HV/LV systems according to procedures.
• Adhere to testing procedures and Sub-system Lead instructions.
• Identify and correct defects; perform trouble shooting.
• Follow up issues and prepare commissioning reports.
• Check test tools for calibration and proper operation.
• Carry out high-voltage electrical testing, cable testing and relay protection commissioning.
• Analyze and troubleshoot electrical faults.

Job description

• - in support Projects on railway HV / LV systems.
• - according to the testing procedure / documentation and following Sub-system T&C Leader instructions
• Ensure defects identification and correction (trouble shooting)
• Ensure follow-up of detected issues and deliver the commissioning reports
• Check the test tools are in perfect working order and calibrated
• Carry out in high-voltage electrical testing, cable testing, and relay protection commissioning;
• To analyze and troubleshoot electrical faults

Requirements

• High Diploma or above in Electrical Engineering in construction or equivalent discipline
• 5 years of relevant work experience in E&M construction, engineering for Test and commissioning works
• Experience in the maintenance and commissioning of MTR or E&M power supply equipment is an advantage
• Available to work at night, during weekends and on public holidays if require
• Proficiency in Cantonese and English; ability to read and write in both Chinese and English
• Familiar with MS Office and Auto CAD software
• Registered Electrical Worker (C0) / (B0, H0) are preferred
• With Safety certificate and Construction Worker Registration Card
