Hitachi Rail in Hong Kong is seeking a Testing and Commissioning Engineer to lead testing and on-site commissioning for railway signalling systems. You will develop documentation, deploy configurations, and collaborate with clients and stakeholders to ensure safety and quality.
The role requires a degree in engineering, knowledge of Windows/Linux, and willingness to work nights/weekends. Cantonese and English fluency is important, and CBTC experience is a plus.
Prepare and execute testing and commissioning activities for railway signalling systems.
Develop and maintain testing documentation, including test specifications and test reports.
Deploy software and system configurations to site and in-house testing environments.
Conduct on-site testing activities with clients and project stakeholders.
Investigate signalling system faults and perform first-level analysis to support issue resolution.
Report testing progress, defects, and technical findings to the Testing & Commissioning Lead.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project requirements throughout testing activities.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
Knowledge of Windows, Linux, Windows Server, and basic networking concepts.
Basic understanding of low-voltage electrical systems.
Knowledge of CBTC signalling systems and system log analysis is an advantage.
Experience in railway system testing, commissioning, or signalling projects is preferred.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work safely and effectively in an on-site environment.
Good command of Cantonese and English.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including night shifts and weekends, as required.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Self-motivated team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
