Job summary

Ambition is seeking a Technology Operations Project Leader in Hong Kong to oversee programs aimed at improving system reliability, performance, security, and regulatory compliance. You will manage end-to-end planning, resource allocation, budgets, scheduling, and progress tracking while aligning Application and Infrastructure TechOps teams to ensure governance and successful delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 5 years in project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Proficient in English and Putonghua, with strong presentation skills
• 5+ years in project management and solution delivery, preferably in financial services
• Familiarity with contract and business management, Agile delivery, design thinking, FinTech, automation, and AI‑driven tools is advantageous
• Highly self‑driven, capable of operating independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and presentation abilities

Responsibilities

• Lead TechOps programs to improve system reliability, performance, security, and regulatory compliance
• Coordinate multi‑team and stakeholder alignment across Application and Infrastructure TechOps
• Liaise with local and overseas teams, vendors, and Head Office IT teams for on‑time delivery
• Organize and chair project forums; report risks, dependencies, and issues to IT leadership
• Gather requirements and recommend practical, value‑driven technical solutions
• Develop and maintain project records and technical documentation

Key Areas of Responsibility

• 1. Technology Operations Project Leadership
  Lead and oversee TechOps programs aimed at improving system reliability, performance, security, and regulatory compliance, including end‑to‑end project planning, resource allocation, budget control, scheduling, and progress tracking.
• 2. Multi‑Team and Stakeholder Alignment
  Facilitate collaboration between Application and Infrastructure TechOps teams, supporting system governance activities, policy assessments, business continuity planning, and financial tracking.
• 3. Project Delivery and Execution Coordination
  Liaise with local and overseas teams, third‑party vendors, and Head Office IT teams in Mainland China to ensure smooth execution, effective communication, and on‑time project delivery.
• 4. Governance, Reporting, and Communication
  Organize and chair project forums, providing regular updates on progress, risks, dependencies, and issues to IT leadership and TechOps management.
• 5. Business Requirements and Solution Evaluation
  Engage stakeholders to collect, assess, and clarify requirements, and recommend practical, value‑driven technical solutions aligned with business and operational needs.
• 6. Documentation and Knowledge Management
  Develop, maintain, and update project records and technical documentation to support implementation, operations, and ongoing support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field
• Strong command of spoken and written English and Putonghua
• At least 5 years of experience in project management and solution delivery, preferably within a financial services environment
• Familiarity with contract and business management, Agile delivery, design thinking, FinTech, automation, and AI‑driven tools is advantageous
• Highly self‑driven, capable of operating independently with minimal supervision, and demonstrates a proactive, solution‑oriented approach
