The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced MDM Lead to join our Technology Consulting – AI & Data team in our Hong Kong office.

EY AI & Data is our flagship data and advanced analytics capability within Greater China, with over 500 specialist employees working across multiple industry sectors.

We go beyond strategy to deliver end-to-end implementation of enterprise data platforms, including MDM, Client 360, and modern cloud data architectures. Our teams bring together leading architects, engineers, developers, and programme leaders to deliver large-scale, complex data transformations.

This role will focus on leading the design and development of MDM solutions, combining strong technical expertise with delivery and team leadership capabilities.

Your key responsibilities

As an MDM Lead, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end MDM and data platform delivery, from architecture through to build and deployment.

Your responsibilities include:

• Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade MDM solutions, including data models, match/merge logic, and survivorship rules
• Define and implement scalable data platform architectures, including integration with data lakes, warehouses, and downstream applications
• Oversee development of MDM platforms and components, ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Drive data ingestion and pipeline development, including ETL/ELT processes and API-based integration patterns
• Lead the build and delivery of Client 360 and data platform capabilities, aligning MDM with the broader data ecosystem
• Define and embed data quality, data governance, and stewardship workflows within the MDM solution
• Lead and manage technical delivery teams (developers, data engineers, architects), ensuring high-quality execution
• Translate business requirements into technical designs, development plans, and solution blueprints
• Support solution delivery across modern cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Engage with clients on architecture design, technical governance, and delivery oversight

Requirements: Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• 5–7 years of experience in Data and Analytics, with hands-on experience in MDM and data platform delivery
• Proven experience delivering MDM solutions end-to-end, including design, development, and deployment
• Strong experience with at least one MDM platform (e.g. Informatica, Reltio, IBM, SAP MDG or similar)
• Solid understanding of core MDM concepts:
• Identity resolution (match/merge)
• Golden record and survivorship rules
• Data quality and standardisation
• Hands‑on experience in data engineering and development, including:
• API-based integration
• Exposure to cloud data platforms and modern data architectures
• Experience leading small to mid‑sized technical delivery teams or workstreams
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong problem‑solving capability with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Fluency in English; Cantonese or Mandarin preferred
