HKU – The University of Hong Kong invites applications for a Technical Officer/Senior Technical Assistant in the Biobank Core of the Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS). The position is a two-year fixed-term contract with gratuity and retirement benefits, with potential renewal subject to performance.

The successful candidate will support sample processing, equipment maintenance, and data management in CPOS using LIMS, and liaise with users to coordinate service logistics.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Biomedical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related discipline.
• Strong passion for science and technologies.
• Self-motivated, responsible, conscientious, meticulous; and enjoy teamwork.
• Good command of spoken and written Chinese and English.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Prior experience in processing clinical samples would be an advantage.
• Proficiency in using microtome and cryostat for FFPE, and frozen tissue sectioning and embedding would be an advantage.
• Candidates with higher qualifications or more experience may be considered for appointment as Technical Officer
