Job summary

ES Corporate Functions in Hong Kong is seeking a Technical Lead for DevOps & Platform to build our in-house IT team and drive scaling of infrastructure and engineering capabilities. You will work with vendors to audit and transition platform architecture, and lead cloud infrastructure and security practices across multi-cloud environments.

You will design automated release pipelines, manage production databases, and oversee third-party integrations with payment gateways and logistics providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, Platform/Infrastructure Engineering roles with ownership of production environments.
• Hands-on experience deploying applications on major cloud platforms and edge services.
• Strong proficiency with containerization and automated release pipelines.
• Experience managing NoSQL databases in production, including backups, replication, and performance monitoring.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, architect, and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure and hybrid hosting with security controls.
• Design, maintain, and scale multi-cloud and hybrid environments with security patching.

• Oversee production database management including backups, performance tuning, and data integrity for app release workflows.

Our client is a fast-growing Luxury business, they are looking for a Technical Lead for DevOps & Platform to build their in house IT team alongside with Vendor. As the brand accelerates its expansion, they are seeking a highly motivated professional with a start up mindset and proactiveness to take the lead in scaling their infrastructure and engineering capabilities.

Report to the General Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Collaborate directly with existing vendor partners to audit, document, and transition platform architecture, codebase dependencies, and operational logic in house.
• Build, architect, and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure and modern hybrid hosting environments while establishing robust server hardening and security controls
• Design, maintain, and scale multi cloud and hybrid environments while managing server hardening, access controls, and security patching.
• Build and maintain automated build, test, and release workflows across staging and production environments using container orchestration tools.
• Oversee production database management including backups, performance tuning, and data integrity while supporting application release workflows for mobile app stores.
• Design and maintain third party integrations with payment gateways and logistics providers while providing practical input on system enhancements and architectural decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering, with proven ownership of production environments.
• Hands on experience managing and deploying applications on major cloud platforms and edge services.
• Strong proficiency with containerization and automated release pipelines.
• Practical experience managing NoSQL databases in production, including backups, replication, and performance monitoring.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Good commands in Chinese & English is required
