Job summary

ES Corporate Functions in Hong Kong is seeking a Technical Lead for DevOps & Platform to build our in-house IT team and drive scaling of infrastructure and engineering capabilities. You will work with vendors to audit and transition platform architecture, and lead cloud infrastructure and security practices across multi-cloud environments.

You will design automated release pipelines, manage production databases, and oversee third-party integrations with payment gateways and logistics providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, Platform/Infrastructure Engineering roles with ownership of production environments.
• Hands-on experience deploying applications on major cloud platforms and edge services.
• Strong proficiency with containerization and automated release pipelines.
• Experience managing NoSQL databases in production, including backups, replication, and performance monitoring.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with vendor partners to audit, document, and transition platform architecture and codebase dependencies in-house.
• Build, architect, and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure and hybrid hosting with security controls.
• Design, maintain, and scale multi-cloud and hybrid environments with security patching.
• Build and maintain automated build, test, and release workflows across staging and production using container orchestration tools.
• Oversee production database management including backups, performance tuning, and data integrity for app release workflows.
• Design and maintain third-party integrations with payment gateways and logistics providers; advise on system enhancements and architecture decisions.
