Job summary

KOS International Talent Group are assisting a client in Hong Kong to appoint a Technical Accounting Manager. This role focuses on research, guidance, and the implementation of accounting standards in a US GAAP/IFRS environment.

You will coordinate with external auditors, oversee disclosures, and analyze complex transactions in a dynamic financial institution based in Greater China.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as CPA or ACCA.
• 5+ years of finance experience in US listed companies, Big 4, or US IPO projects.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
• Experience driving strategic initiatives and improving processes.
• High integrity and sound judgement; hands-on, commercially minded.

Responsibilities

• Research complex accounting issues and draft formal position papers under US GAAP or IFRS.

My client is a growing financial institution in the market. Because of an expansion plan in Greater China, they are now looking for a Technical Accounting Manager for their team in HK.

• Research & Guidance: Research complex accounting issues and draft formal position papers under US GAAP or IFRS.
• Standard Implementation: Lead the adoption and integration of new accounting pronouncements and regulatory updates.
• Audit Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors and manage financial statement disclosures.
• Transaction Analysis: Evaluate the accounting treatment for unusual events like mergers, acquisitions, or complex contracts.
• Handle other ad hoc duties.
