Job summary

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge across enterprise, solution, data, integration, cloud, infrastructure and security architecture.
• Deep understanding of Hong Kong insurance models and digital distribution.
• Proven ability in technology strategy, roadmapping and platform rationalisation.
• Strong governance, cyber security, privacy, data residency and outsourcing controls.
• Experience coordinating across Hong Kong, regional and HQ with cross-border stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Drive the future technology strategy of Sun Life Hong Kong, including the establishment of a purpose-built technology stack to support the growing business segments across Greater China.
• Establish a high-performing architecture team with a mix of skills across Chinese and International cloud platforms, infrastructure and business applications.
• Define enterprise architecture and technology strategy by translating business strategy, market developments and emerging technology into target-state blueprints, standards and multi-year roadmaps.
• Own technology-stack planning and modernisation across core platforms, digital, data, cloud, integration, infrastructure, cyber security and AI, rationalising platforms and sequencing investment for resilience, scalability and value.
• Govern architecture, compliance and technology risk by directing architecture reviews and approvals, embedding security, privacy, data-residency, outsourcing, regulatory and operational-readiness requirements, and managing justified exceptions.
• Build organisational capability by leading architecture resources, developing talent and engineering practices, engaging vendors and industry peers, and influencing senior stakeholders.
