Chong Hing Bank Limited is seeking a Systems Analyst to design and maintain front-to-back securities trading systems including OMS and EMS. You will participate in the full software development lifecycle for cross-border features and coordinate with HK/US teams for timely go-lives.

The role requires experience in banking software development, knowledge of FIX protocol, and strong collaboration across trading, operations, and risk teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in IT, CS or equivalent.
• 6+ years hands-on development in banking/financial sector.
• Securities trading software development experience with FIX protocol (4.2/4.4) and gateway connectivity to HKEX and US markets.
• Solid understanding of SDLC practices.
• Project management experience is an asset.
• Collaborative, negotiates well under pressure.
• Fluent in English and Chinese; Putonghua desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain front-to-back securities trading systems including OMS/EMS.

• Support deployments and post-deployment monitoring aligning with US market windows.

• Coordinate with HK/US trading teams to align functionality with business needs.

Job description

Systems Analyst (Securities and Insurance)

System design and maintenance of front-to-back securities trading systems, including Order Management System (OMS) and Execution Management Systems (EMS).

Software development lifecycle participation including requirements collection, analysis, design, technical specifications, test plans, and documentation for cross-border trading features (e.g. US fractional shares, overnight trading, multiple-currency settlement).

Project monitoring to ensure smooth progress and timely implementation, and seamless go-live synchronization across different market time zones.

Resource and vendor management to maintain quality of services and deliverables.

Provide user training to trading desks, operations and settlement teams to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and features.

Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with external global brokers, exchanges, market data vendors, or internal teams for resolution.

Perform system upgrades and apply patches, and optimize end-to-end latency to maintain stability and security.

Support production deployments by assisting with rollout activities and post-deployment monitoring (including alignment with US market maintenance windows).

Assist in compliance checks by ensuring systems meet both local and international regulatory and audit requirements.

Coordinate with HK and US trading teams to align system functionality with business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree holder in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.
• 6 years or above hands‑on experience in application development in banking / financial sector.
• Securities trading software development experience with financial systems and applications, specifically with FIX protocol (4.2/4.4) and gateway connectivity to HKEX and US markets.
• Software engineering knowledge with strong understanding of SDLC practices.
• Project management experience considered an asset for coordinating tasks and deliverables
• A collaborative team player with negotiation skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese as well as fluent in Putonghua.
