Job summary

The Tung Wah Group of Hospitals seeks a seasoned professional to oversee the Ho Yuk Ching Educational Psychology Service Centre in Hong Kong. You will lead operations, expand services, and liaise with partner organizations while supervising staff and handling inquiries from diverse stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should be a Registered Social Worker with a social work degree, strong English and Chinese skills, and extensive post-qualification experience in related roles.

Qualifications

• Recognized degree in Social Work or equivalent.
• English and Chinese language proficiency at HKCEE Level E or above (Syllabus B).
• Registered Social Worker under the Social Workers Registration Ordinance (Cap.505).
• At least 8 years post-qualification experience at senior social work level or equivalent.
• Proficient in English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation and administration of the TWGHs Ho Yuk Ching Educational Psychology Service Centre.
• Lead the service expansion of the Centre.
• Liaise with related organizations, including local and international bodies.
• Supervise subordinates.
• Answer enquiries from media, public, referrals and professionals.
• Perform other duties as required.

Job description

• lead the service expansion of the Centre;
• liaise with other related organizations, including local and international organizations;
• supervise the subordinates;
• answer enquiries from media, general public, referrals and other professionals; and
• perform other relevant duties as required.

The ideal candidate should have/be:

• a recognized degree in Social Work or equivalent;
• at least Grade E or above in English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in the HKCEE or equivalent;
• registered under the Social Workers Registration Ordinance (Cap.505) as Registered Social Worker;
• at least 8 years’ post-qualification experience in the rank of Assistant Social Work Officer/Social Worker I/Social Worker II/Assistant Planning Officer II/Educational Psychology Service Co-ordinator, or equivalent; and
• proficient in English and Chinese.

The successful candidate will be appointed on contract terms with a salary currently at $83,975 per month (Tung Wah Master Pay Scale Point 34). Entry salary depends on years of recognized experience. The salary is subject to downward/upward adjustment or may be frozen as determined by Tung Wah and/or as appropriate with reference to the civil service pay review.
