Job summary

Leadingnation in Hong Kong seeks a Student Affairs Manager to lead the Student Affairs Office, enriching campus life, coordinating exchanges, events, and study tours. You will oversee funding processes and supervise staff, ensuring high-quality student services.

The role requires a recognised degree and 5+ years of post-qualification experience, with strong English and Chinese language skills. Based at the Chai Wan Campus, the appointee may travel and work irregular hours as needed.

Qualifications

• A recognised degree or higher qualification.
• 5+ years post-qualification experience, preferably in educational institutions or youth work.
• Sound knowledge and rich experience in student development and coordination of student programmes/events/exchanges/activities.
• Experience in leading large-scale events, sports competitions, and/or physical wellness programmes will be an advantage.
• High proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese, as well as fluency in Putonghua.
• Strong interpersonal, planning, teamworking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• To enrich students’ campus life and physical well-being, and promote a diverse and inclusive campus culture.
• To actively identify suitable collaborations with universities and institutions by entering into memoranda of understanding to expand student exchange opportunities.
• To promote, coordinate and provide services and support for student exchanges (inbound and outbound), study tours, international events, competitions, and other related activities.
• To administer internal and external funding schemes, and lead the administration and support of selection panels in vetting and selecting proposals submitted by academic departments for student exchange activities.
• To plan, lead, organise, and coordinate various student activities, including but not limited to institute-wide and academic programme events, student forums, sports activities and competitions, and physical wellness activities.
• To work closely with different administrative units, academic departments, and local and overseas partners to develop, promote, and enhance student exchange opportunities.
• To undertake duty visit to the Chinese Mainland and overseas destinations as required.
• To compile reports, prepare statistics and presentation materials for various meetings and events; and
• To supervise a team of administrative staff of the Office.
