Qualifications

• University degree in purchasing, supply chain or business administration.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in managing procurement functions in a sizeable organization.
• Professional qualifications in Purchasing/Supply Chain Management are preferred.
• Public sector experience is a definite asset.
• Strong understanding of procurement principles, sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier management.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic procurement services to achieve organizational goals.
• Lead and supervise the procurement team and ensure timely purchasing activities.
• Establish and maintain procurement policies, procedures and sustainable initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on sourcing, tendering, vendor evaluation and contract management.
• Maintain supplier register and oversee supplier performance assessments.
• Analyze procurement data and prepare management reports for continuous improvement.
• Oversee central store operation and inventory control.
• Identify, evaluate and manage supplier relationships for quality and service levels.
• Lead supplier negotiations to secure advantageous terms and value-for-money outcomes.
• Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities and risks.
