Job summary

The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts is seeking a seasoned Head of Cost and Contract to steer cost management, procurement and contract administration for major campus development and operational needs.

Reporting to the Principal Head and leading a professional team, you will shape strategies, governance and best practices across capital works, AA&I projects and long-term service contracts to ensure financial prudence and value delivery for the institution.

Qualifications

• A recognised degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Professional membership of HKIS (Quantity Surveying Division), RICS or equivalent.
• 15+ years' post-qualification experience in quantity surveying, cost management, procurement and contract administration.
• Experience in managing cost and contractual aspects of capital works projects, publicly funded or subvented.
• Experience in cost management, tendering and contract administration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and leadership skills.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost planning and financial control for the Academy's projects.
• Oversee tendering, procurement and contract administration, ensuring compliance and risk management.
• Strengthen governance, processes and internal controls related to cost, procurement and contracts.
• Lead and develop the Cost and Contract team and promote professional standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and senior management.
