Job summary

Bank of China Hong Kong Branch is seeking an Assistant Compliance and Risk Data Analyst to support the Legal and Risk Management teams in Hong Kong. The role involves developing compliance standards, monitoring regulatory changes, and enhancing risk controls across the branch's operations, including reporting to Head Office and regulators.

Candidates should have a bachelor degree in finance/economics/data science or law, proficiency in SQL, Python, Power BI, and good communication in Cantonese

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Data Science or Law.
• Solid knowledge of financial markets products and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience in compliance, risk management, or operations risk is required.
• Fluent Cantonese with strong written and spoken English; Mandarin preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in formulating compliance standards, plans and objectives for the Branch.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess impacts on Branch operations.
• Revise and improve compliance systems and processes; advise on staffing and authorization.
• Identify and manage compliance and operational risks; prepare evaluation reports for Branch Management.
• Perform trade monitoring and surveillance; provide recommendations to improve monitoring systems.
