Job summary

Global Sports Jobs Limited in Hong Kong seeks a data analytics professional to join the Racing Wagering Product Strategy and Marketing Department. You will explore racing-related data, build statistical models and generate insights to support new initiatives and partnerships.

Responsibilities include hypothesis testing, developing data models and Gen AI applications for structured and unstructured data, and delivering regular analytic reports. Fluent English and Chinese are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Economics, Physics or Machine Learning.
• Strong interest in numbers and accuracy.
• Ability to deliver statistical models and run forecasting in a statistical environment.
• Self-motivated with a strong critical and analytical mind.
• Excellent written (English and Chinese) and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in R, SQL, experimental design, machine learning, response surface methodology, statistical graphics, stochastic processes and Python.

Responsibilities

• Work with internal stakeholders to explore and understand racing-related data.
• Formulate and test hypotheses to evaluate business strategies and measure their impact.
• Stay up to date with the latest technologies in modelling and algorithms in order to design scientific tests that maximise spending on new initiatives, products and marketing strategy.
• Assist in the development of custom data models, machine learning algorithms and Gen AI products applied to both structured and unstructured data.
• Generate regular data analysis reports.
• Undertake other duties as assigned by the line manager.
