Job summary

ams-OSRAM Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. in Hong Kong seeks a Mechanical Engineer to support our semiconductor facility. You will lead preventive maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting to keep complex systems running reliably in a cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities include managing ACMV/HVAC, electrical and automation systems, coordinating internal teams and contractors, and ensuring safety, audits, and compliant performance across building controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering or related discipline is required.
  • Strong understanding of facilities systems including ACMV and facilities control systems.
  • Able to read and understand complex electrical, mechanical and automation systems.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems in a cleanroom environment is an advantage.
  • Experience in construction, maintenance and all facets of facility operation.
  • 3+ years of relevant semiconductor facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections, manage preventive maintenance programs, and perform troubleshooting for DIW, CDA, Wastewater Treatment Plant, PCW, PVAC, and exhaust systems.
  • Prepare service procedures, operational reports, schedules, and training materials for in-house teams and service vendors.
  • Oversee service and maintenance of mechanical systems including Cleanroom/FFU/Dry Coil, MAU/DX/CRAC units, and Fire Protection systems.
  • Supervise in-house operations technicians/engineers and coordinate contractors/vendors to ensure optimum service delivery.
  • Manage cleanroom environmental parameters (Temperature, RH, Particle, ESD, Contamination control) to meet audit and regulatory requirements.
  • Administer service and maintenance programs for building/plant control systems including sensors, detectors, PLCs, servers, alarms, LSS detectors, and FMCS/LSS SCADA.
  • Provide technical training and conduct design reviews with vendors.

  • Prepare service procedures, operational reports, schedules, and training materials for in-house teams and service vendors to support consistent and safe facility operations.
  • Oversee service and maintenance of mechanical systems including Cleanroom/FFU/Dry Coil, MAU/DX/CRAC units, and Fire Protection systems, ensuring compliance with performance and safety requirements
  • Supervise in-house operations technicians/engineers and coordinate contractors/vendors to achieve optimum service delivery and system reliability.
  • Manage cleanroom environmental parameters (Temperature, RH, Particle, ESD, Contamination control) to meet audit and regulatory requirements.
  • Administer service and maintenance programs for building/plant control systems including sensors, detectors, PLCs, servers, alarms, LSS detectors, and FMCS/LSS SCADA, ensuring system integrity and uptime.
  • Provides technical training and conducts design reviews with vendor.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • at least 3 years of relevant experiences in semiconductor facility for mechanical engineering role.
  • Strong understanding of Facilities system which include ACMV and Facilities control systems
  • Able to read and understand complex electrical, mechanical and automation systems
  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems in a cleanroom environment will be an advantage.
  • Experience in construction, maintenance and all facets of facility operation
