Job summary

Gaiamesh is seeking an experienced Building Energy Engineer to join our Hong Kong team. You will perform energy analyses, validate platform diagnostics, and support deployments for AI-enabled energy optimization across commercial buildings.

The role requires 2-5 years in HVAC/MEP, strong data analysis skills, and Cantonese with Mandarin/English for documentation. You will contribute to energy efficiency projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in building energy engineering, HVAC systems, or commissioning.
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial MEP systems, BMS systems, and energy analysis.
• Basic Python skills for data analysis and scripting.
• Proficient in Excel and data analysis; experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, FanRuan) and/or building simulation software (EnergyPlus, DeST/建环模拟, eQUEST) preferred
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail; team-oriented, adaptable, and eager to learn M&V methodologies and take ownership
• Fluent in Cantonese, with professional Mandarin and English proficiency for technical documentation and communication
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)

Responsibilities

• Support sales process with technical validation and solution scoping
• Provide technical guidance to deployment teams on solution configuration and implementation
• Execute building energy analysis using Gaiamesh platform following established methodologies
• Review and validate platform-generated data and diagnostics to ensure quality standards are met
• Support BMS integrations, platform commissioning, and baseline establishment
• Monitor deployed solution performance and track against established baselines
• Create operational reports and dashboards that communicate solution performance
• Identify performance gaps and alert CSO and deployment teams
• Support client communications on operational performance under CSO guidance
• Document operational issues and contribute to methodology improvement discussions
• Prototype new analytical features and visualization approaches using Python and Power BI
• Test and validate new diagnostic algorithms and methodologies under CSO guidance
• Develop data processing scripts to enhance platform capabilities and automation
