Job summary

eSOON, a leading omnichannel customer engagement software provider serving Greater China, seeks a Software Development Engineer in Hong Kong. You will develop user applications for digital and voice channels and translate business requirements into data and logic flows.

You will build RESTful interfaces, work with databases like MySQL/MongoDB/Postgres, and contribute to cloud-based delivery. English and Cantonese fluency is required; Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in full stack application development using JAVA, Vue.js, and databases.
• PMP or Scrum-master or equivalent project management certification.
• Diploma/Higher Diploma or higher in computing/IT/engineering or related.
• Experience gathering requirements from end-users and translating to data/logic flows.
• Fluent in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop user applications with digital and voice contact channels based on requirements.
• Develop integration interfaces to back-end applications using RESTful API, JSON and XML.
• Produce user requirement documents, test plans and training materials.
• Set up and configure cloud-based applications for project delivery.
• Collaborate with team members to integrate and test modules and provide post-sales support.

Software Development engineer

The job role:

· To develop user application with digital and voice contact channels, bases on user requirement,

· Collect business user requirement and translate to data flow and logic flow;

· Develop integration interfaces to customer specific back-end applications, using RESTful API and JSON responses and XML,

· Understand and analyse project manager or customer requirements and business logic and produce user requirement documentation, test plan and training documents,

· Draft test plan and integration plan for validation of resulting products,

· Set up and configure cloud-based applications for project delivery purpose;

· Work with all team members to jointly integrate and test different modules of customer applications.

· Support customer by phone, e-mail, or on-site for post-sales maintenance and support

· Setup lab and development environment using Windows, Linux and any opensource tools when required

Skill and experience requirement:

· 2-5 years of experience in full stack application development experience with JAVA, Vue.js, MySQL/MongoDB/Postgres,

· PMP or Scrum-master certified, or achieved other project management certifications

· Diploma, Higher Diploma or higher academic qualification in computing study, information technology, or engineering or relevant disciplines;

· Experience in discussion with end-user for user requirement and confirmation

· Candidates without relevant academic qualification but with relevant working experience would also be considered;

· Voice communication/VoIP knowledge will be an added advantage but not a must

· Experience in development of backend interfaces using webhook, web socket;

· Installation/configuration/troubleshooting experience in Windows or Linux is a plus so that the job role could work more independently;

· Knowledge in TCP/IP protocol suite such as DNS, HTTP, TLS is a plus;

· Fluent in English, Cantonese. Mandarin is a plus
