Job summary

WPP Media Hong Kong is seeking an Associate, Social and Content to bridge local audience engagement with cross-border China strategies. You will drive end-to-end social campaigns, manage creators and publishers, and optimize campaigns with data-driven insights.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, handle daily operations, and report on performance. The role requires 0–2 years of related experience, bilingual English/Chinese, and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of professional experience in social media management, content marketing, or influencer/KOL management.
• Strong familiarity with local media landscapes and platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Threads, etc.).
• Hands-on knowledge of China social platforms and ecosystems (XiaoHongShu / RED, Douyin, WeChat, etc.).
• Strong project management, operational trafficking, and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented with a results-driven mindset.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, independently and collaboratively.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin).
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Drive campaign ideation, recommendations, execution, and troubleshooting for local and China-focused social campaigns.
• Plan and execute integrated social and content strategies across platforms.
• Manage day-to-day account servicing and client/internal stakeholder expectations.
• Identify and manage relationships with local creators and cross-border KOLs.
• Oversee campaign operations: trafficking, scheduling, and monitoring.
• Generate data-driven performance reports and post-buy evaluations.
• Support partnerships with platform partners, media vendors, and MCNs.
• Share market trends and platform updates with the team.
