Job summary

Modern Terminals Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking a diligent clerical operator to support gate operations, container weighing, inspection, and related gate movements. You will handle shipping documents, arrange container appointments, and provide counter service for truckers.

The role requires Form 5 or above with at least 2 years of clerical experience, proficiency in MS Office, and good written and spoken English and Cantonese (Putonghua preferred).

Qualifications

• Form 5 or above with at least 2 years of clerical experience.
• Knowledge of handling shipping documents and terminal operations is an advantage.
• Conversant with PC and Microsoft Office applications.
• Good written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese & Putonghua).
• Good problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willing to perform jobs on shift basis (including overnight shift).
• Fresh graduates will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist in gate operations including container weighing and inspection.
• Monitor gate movement.
• Handle shipping/car carrier documentation and container appointments.
• Handle dutiable / detained / damaged / rejected container.
• Provide counter service for trucker.
• Process data in a timely and accurate manner.
• Handle hotline enquiry.
