eFinancialCareers seeks an experienced Settlement Management professional in Hong Kong to oversee daily post-trade operations, matching, confirmation, allocation, and settlement across multiple asset classes.

You will lead a team of settlement specialists, drive risk and exception management, and strengthen Custodian & vendor oversight while promoting STP and automation initiatives in a regulated environment.

Qualifikationen

• 5-8+ years of post-trade operations/settlement experience.
• In-depth understanding of global settlement across multi-asset classes.
• Hands-on experience with major industry platforms and portfolio accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of regulations and market practice (T+1/T+2, CSDR).
• Excellent communication and attention to detail; proven process-improvement track record.

• Oversee daily post-trade operations, trade matching, confirmation, allocation, and settlement across equities, fixed income, FX, derivatives, and alternative assets.
• Manage, mentor, and build a team of settlement specialists with clear objectives.
• Monitor and resolve trade fails, corporate actions discrepancies, cash/stock breaks, and operational exceptions.
• Maintain relationships with custodians, prime brokers, clearing houses, and third-party service providers; evaluate service quality and risk.
• Identify workflow inefficiencies, drive straight-through processing (STP), and lead system migration or automation projects.
• Ensure adherence to regional and international market settlement regulations and internal compliance standards.

• Experience: 5-8+ years of post-trade operations/settlement experience within an asset management firm, investment bank, or custodian bank, with at least 1–3 years in a managerial role.
• Asset Class Expertise: In-depth understanding of global settlement mechanisms across multi-asset classes (Fixed Income, Equities, Funds, FX, OTC/ETD Derivatives).
• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with major industry platforms and portfolio accounting software.
• Regulations & Market Practice: Strong knowledge of global settlement cycles (T+1/T+2), CSDR fail penalty frameworks, and regional clearing frameworks.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, high attention to detail, and a track record of driving process improvements under tight deadlines.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
