Pok Oi Hospital is recruiting a Registered Social Worker to support two transitional housing sites in Hong Kong. You will assess eligibility, coordinate multi-disciplinary services, and provide casework and counselling for residents of all ages.
We seek a strategic thinker with leadership qualities, strong communication in English and Chinese, and solid MS Office / Chinese word processing skills to handle emergencies, feedback, and programme development.
Pok Oi Hospital, a charitable organization founded in 1919, has been participating in government-funded projects aiming at providing quality medical, social and education services to the community. We are operating two transitional housing projects namely Pok Oi Kong Ha Wai Village (博愛江夏圍村) and Pok Oi Sing Ping Village (博愛昇平村) providing 1,998 and 601 transitional housing units respectively. We now invite high calibre person for the following post stationed at both sites.
Assess the eligibility of applicants
Assist on-site service teams to organise and provide multi-disciplinary services to all age groups, ranging from children to the elderly who require social support services
Participate in casework and render counselling services to identified residents
Promote diversity and social inclusion by organizing events and programmes
Establish a network in the region to foster collaboration among stakeholders
Assist in handling emergency incidents, resident feedback, and complaints in a prompt and professional manner
Registered Social Worker with Higher Diploma/ Associate or above
Good interpersonal and communication skills with excellent command of English and Chinese, both written and spoken
Possess a strategic mindset with good leadership skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong PC skills in MS Office and Chinese Word Processing
