Job summary

Citi in Hong Kong seeks an Applications Support Technical Lead for the Cash Equities platform, based on the trading floor. You will lead incident management, capacity planning and continuous improvement across a complex application stack for global markets clients.

You will manage senior stakeholders, drive automation and resiliency initiatives, and coordinate with offshore vendors to deliver reliable market data and execution services. Strong Linux/Java and FIX protocol expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• 15+ years relevant experience supporting Global Markets.
• Strong technical understanding of Linux/Java based systems.
• Previous experience on supporting FIX protocol.
• Senior to advanced level experience in an Apps Support role with commensurate experience in People management.
• Experience of senior stakeholder management.
• Project management with demonstrable results in improving IT services.
• Capacity Planning/Forecasting exposure a plus.
• Ability to plan and organize workload; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Improve service levels and incident management across the team.
• Guide development teams on stability and supportability improvements.
• Formulate capacity, throughput and latency management framework.
• Define onboarding guidelines and standards for applications.
• Coach team members to maximize potential in a highly integrated team.
• Drive cost reductions and efficiencies via root cause analysis and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in business review meetings aligning tech tools with business needs.
• Ensure adherence to support processes and best practices across the program.
• Engage with senior leaders and external parties as needed.
• Oversee offshore managed services and vendor relationships.
