About the role

Firebean Limited is seeking a Senior Visual Designer / Key Visual Specialist with a focus on Brand & Typography to join our creative team on a full-time basis. This is a strategic position based in Wan Chai District that will be pivotal in shaping our visual identity and brand presence. As a Senior Visual Designer, you will be responsible for developing compelling visual narratives that resonate with our target audiences whilst maintaining design excellence and consistency across all brand touchpoints. This role offers the opportunity to lead design initiatives, mentor junior designers, and establish yourself as a key creative voice within our organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine brand identity systems, including logo design, colour palettes, and comprehensive brand guidelines
• Create and execute key visual concepts for marketing campaigns, digital platforms, and advertising materials
• Specialise in typography strategy, selecting, customising, and implementing typefaces that align with brand positioning and enhance visual communication
• Design visual assets across multiple formats and mediums, ensuring consistency and strategic alignment with brand objectives
• Lead design projects from concept through to final delivery, managing timelines and collaborating with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, and creative departments
• Mentor and provide creative direction to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative design environment
• Conduct design research and stay current with design trends, typographic innovations, and industry best practices
• Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, articulating creative decisions and brand value propositions
• Maintain and evolve brand asset libraries and design systems to support organisational growth and consistency

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of professional graphic design experience
• Demonstrated expertise in brand identity design and comprehensive brand system development
• Advanced proficiency in typography, including knowledge of typeface selection, custom lettering, and typographic hierarchy
• Expert-level proficiency with industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with design tools such as Figma or Sketch
• Strong portfolio showcasing key visual design work, brand identity projects, and typographic applications across diverse formats
• Exceptional visual communication skills with the ability to translate strategic briefs into compelling visual solutions
• Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining high quality standards and meeting deadlines
• Strong understanding of colour theory, composition, and visual hierarchy
• Experience working in collaborative team environments and mentoring junior designers is highly valued
• Knowledge of print production, digital specifications, and cross-platform design considerations
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present and defend creative concepts to clients and internal stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or a related discipline is preferred
