Job summary

Anglo-Eastern Group in Hong Kong seeks a Senior Vessel Manager to lead the technical management of 3–5 vessels, ensuring safety, compliance and performance across DP offshore fleets. You will oversee maintenance planning, drydockings, PMS, and budgets, coordinate spares, and drive improvements with masters and engineers while ensuring ISM, SOLAS and MARPOL standards.

The role requires a Class 1 COC and fluent English, with strong leadership and reporting to the Fleet Manager on vessel condition

Qualifications

• Proven Chief Engineer on a DP vessel or Vessel Manager with technical and operational vessel management experience.
• Recent offshore vessel experience (DP1/DP2, AHTS, OSV, or DSV).
• Deep understanding of shipboard systems and offshore-vessel maintenance.
• Familiarity with SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM, ISPS and related conventions.
• Holds a Class 1 COC and fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical operation of 3-5 vessels, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with international conventions, flag-state, class, and company requirements.
• Plan and oversee maintenance and repair activities, including dry-dockings, surveys, and major overhauls, with defined work scopes, budgets, and timelines.
• Monitor vessel condition and performance, including machinery reliability, fuel efficiency, and PMS compliance, initiating corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare, justify, and manage vessel budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost control within owner-approved limits.
• Coordinate procurement and logistics of spares, stores, and services through the Technical Officer/Purchaser.
• Ensure statutory and class survey compliance, monitoring due dates for certificates, surveys, and dry-dockings.
• Coordinate with terminals and commercial operators to maintain schedule integrity and minimize service disruption.
• Support incident response, root-cause analysis, and preventive measures to improve fleet safety and reliability.
• Represent company in inspections, audits, and pre-purchase or pre-takeover inspections as required.
• Provide regular reporting to owners and the Fleet Manager on vessel condition, performance, incidents, and ongoing projects.
• Work with Operations and QHSE Managers to align technical, operational, and safety priorities for ships.
