Job summary

Anglo-Eastern is seeking a Vessel Manager/Superintendent for LPG/gas carrier operations based in Hong Kong. You will ensure regulatory and SMS compliance, oversee major repairs, gas carrier operations, and maintain high safety and technical standards.

You will conduct vessel inspections, monitor fuel and machinery, manage budgets, and lead incident investigations, coordinating with QHSE/Operations and shipboard crews.

Qualifications

• Experience with LPG gas carriers or oil tankers is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and class rules.
• Proven ability to lead investigations and implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and execute major repairs and dry dockings; manage budgets.
• Conduct mandatory vessel inspections and close deficiencies within 14 days.

Job description

• Ensure full regulatory and SMS compliance for assigned tankers, maintaining high technical, operational, and safety standards through rigorous monitoring and oversight.


• Plan, supervise, and execute major repairs and dry dockings, prepare operating budgets, and control costs by optimizing supplies and monitoring consumption


• Conduct mandatory vessel inspections (at least twice yearly, including sailing visits), produce detailed reports within 14 days, and ensure timely closure of all deficiencies


• Monitor vessel performance including fuel/lube oil consumption, machinery parameters, and charter party compliance, while managing statutory surveys and class certificates


• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions, manage risk assessments, coordinate with QHSE/Operations departments, and maintain clear communication with shipboard crews and clients.

Requirements

• Preferred as minimum 1 year as CE in Gas carrier LPG , in Junior ranks Oil Tanker will add advantage for this role


• As Vessel Manager (Suptd) - 1 or 2 year in a company managed Gas Carrier LPG or Oil Tankers.
