Job summary

China Taiping Life Insurance (Hong Kong) Company Limited is seeking a Manager/Assistant Manager, Operations (Underwriting) to lead underwriting initiatives and drive system development for core platforms. You will gather user requirements and coordinate with IT, users, and vendors to deliver robust solutions.

You will oversee timelines, perform UAT, train end users, and analyze underwriting data to identify trends and improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree Holder and at least 6 years of solid underwriting experience in life insurance.
Minimum 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role with leadership experience.
Underwriting authority of not less than extra mortality 50%; high net worth experience preferred.
Strong integrity, quality orientation, and interpersonal/communication skills.
Analytical, independent thinker with proactive problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Contribute to development of underwriting core system, rule engine, and POS platform.
Collect and analyze underwriting information to prepare user requirements.
Manage project timelines and ensure quality and timely delivery.
Liaise with users, IT, and vendors to design and enhance business solutions.
Perform UAT and end-user training; support ad-hoc production issues.
Analyze underwriting data to identify trends and provide data-driven recommendations.
Conduct underwriting risk assessments within delegated authority and ensure compliance.
