Crossings Executive Search is assisting a leading insurance company in Hong Kong to recruit two Underwriters. The role focuses on underwriting new business and renewals of high complexity and volume, supporting profitable growth.

Responsibilities include strategy execution, applying reinsurance, maintaining knowledge, complying with underwriting standards, and providing expert support to identify issues and opportunities. HK market expertise is essential.

Qualificações

• 7 years of experience in insurance underwriting.
• Experience with risk profiling, pricing tools and loss models.
• Strong knowledge of HK market conditions for underwriting.
• Familiarity with underwriting systems and processes.
• Understanding of class-specific underwriting and reinsurance knowledge.
• Proficiency with Excel and departmental software.

Responsabilidades

• Support the implementation of the team strategy to enable delivery of overall business targets.
• Apply the reinsurance strategy to safeguard the portfolio.
• Promote the department, division and company to maximize brand leverage.
• Contribute to the development of the team's business plan to maximize productivity and performance.
• Maintain product, system and process knowledge.
• Attend relevant product and skill courses and share learnings with staff.
• Adhere to underwriting standards and procedures to minimize risk and maximize efficiency.
• Provide technical expert support to identify issues and opportunities within underwriting.
• Establish strong relationships with stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
• Demonstrate understanding of market dynamics to drive performance.
• Continually develop expertise through learning activities.
• Underwrite complex insurance risks to meet business objectives including terms negotiation and credit control in payments.
• Contribute to portfolio review and analysis to track progress toward objectives.
