Job summary

HKEX is seeking a motivated Software Engineer to join the Group Risk Management Systems team in Hong Kong. You will contribute to the full software development lifecycle of risk management systems for derivatives markets, collaborating with infrastructure and cyber security to operate mission-critical platforms.

You will be responsible for ensuring software quality, reviewing requirements, designing test strategies, and leading test automation efforts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, IT or related discipline.
4–6 years' software testing experience; automation testing preferred.
Familiar with at least one development language (e.g. Ruby).
Basic Linux commands knowledge (cp/rm/vi/mv).
Experience in large-scale banking or exchange systems is an advantage.
Strong English writing and reading skills.
Independent and critical thinking; quick to acquire new knowledge.
Good analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Ensure the quality of developed Risk Management Systems
Conduct review on the Business Requirements and Functional Specifications
Test Strategy Design including Test Planning, Test Cases Design, Execution and Results verification
Test Metrics Reporting
Develop a test automation strategy based on the Enterprise’s test framework and tools
Collaborate with team managers, developers and business stakeholders to understand the requirements and assist in resolving identified application issues.
