Job summary

HKEX is seeking a motivated Software Engineer to join the Group Risk Management Systems team in Hong Kong. You will contribute to the full software development lifecycle of risk management systems for derivatives markets, collaborating with infrastructure and cyber security to operate mission-critical platforms.

You will be responsible for ensuring software quality, reviewing requirements, designing test strategies, and leading test automation efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, IT or related discipline.
• 4–6 years' software testing experience; automation testing preferred.
• Familiar with at least one development language (e.g. Ruby).
• Basic Linux commands knowledge (cp/rm/vi/mv).
• Experience in large-scale banking or exchange systems is an advantage.
• Strong English writing and reading skills.
• Independent and critical thinking; quick to acquire new knowledge.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Software Engineer to join our Group Risk Management Systems team. Our team develops first-in-class systems for risk management in Derivatives Markets. We play a critical role on full software development cycle, including system design, development, testing and implementation of our mission critical systems. Job Duties

Requirements

• 4 to 6 years' experience in software testing, experience in automation testing is preferred
• Understand at least one development language (e.g. Ruby)
• Familiar with using basic Linux system operating commands (e.g. cp/rm/vi/mv)
• Experiences in large scale banking or exchange systems is an advantage
• Work experiences in Derivatives Markets is an advantage
• Possess independent and critical thinking
• Good written and reading English highly desirable
• Good PuTongWah skills is an added advantage.
• Capability of acquiring new (business) knowledge

• Good coordination, communication and interpersonal skills
