Job summary

Global Insurance Company in Hong Kong is seeking a Senior Technical Product Owner (Insurance) to lead one or more complex application domains, prioritise the backlog, and drive delivery outcomes in a fast-paced insurance tech environment.

You will collaborate with architecture, engineering, QA, and vendors, define epics and user stories, coach junior product owners, and ensure the domain remains modern, stable, and aligned to business needs while balancing regulatory and operational requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline.
• Agile / product / business analysis certification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the product backlog for a complex application domain or multiple related systems. Define epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Prioritize work based on business value, risk, dependencies, and technical sustainability. Identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and modernization.
• Effective partnership with business users to clarify and prioritise requirements and translate them into technology outcomes.
• Work closely with architecture, engineering, QA, operations, and vendors to deliver changes. Support release planning and sprint governance.
• Manage dependencies and risks across multiple stakeholders and teams. Track delivery progress, business outcomes, and operational impacts.
• Support incident analysis, production issue triage, and root cause discussions where domain knowledge is required.
• Coach junior Tech Product Owners and support knowledge transfer within the team.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
• Good understanding of application support, enhancements, and change delivery.
• Experience working with technical teams and vendors.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
