Job summary

The Centre for Oncology and Immunology invites applications for a Technical Officer / Senior Research Assistant, to commence as soon as possible on a fixed-term basis in Hong Kong Science and Technology Park. The role includes managing laboratory instruments, training staff, maintaining safety and contributing to procurement and administrative tasks.

Candidates should hold a Master’s degree or above (PhD preferred for Senior Technical Officer) with at least 5 years of relevant experience, plus

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or above in Chemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry or related disciplines with at least 5 years’ experience.
• Experience with mass spectrometry, proteomics, LC or organic synthesis preferred.
• PhD holders with relevant experience may be considered for Senior Technical Officer.
• Good command of written and spoken English; strong communication skills; team player; self-motivated; organized; detail-minded; hardworking; willing to learn new techniques; able to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Manage instruments in the laboratory.
• Deliver training to new staff and students.
• Ensure the laboratory remains organized and adheres to safety standards.
• Support the team with procurement, inventory management and various administrative responsibilities.
