Zusammenfassung

The Hongkong Electric Co., Ltd. invites a seasoned Civil/Structural draftsman to join our Admiralty-based team on a 2-year contract. You will contribute to tender documentation, technical drawings, and project planning for submissions to government authorities.

Responsibilities include using AutoCAD and BIM for planning, maintaining drawing records, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure on-site quality control and compliant submissions. Proficiency in English and Chinese is required.

Qualifikationen

• Higher Diploma/Certificate in Civil / Structural / Geotechnical Engineering or related disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant drafting experience for civil projects.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and BIM; knowledge of XPMS/AIMS is a plus.
• Good command of English and Chinese, written and spoken.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to Chief Civil Engineer, the appointee will mainly perform the following responsibilities:

• To assist in the preparation of tender documents and working drawings with AutoCAD for project tender /quotation invitations and construction work programmes
• To prepare technical drawings / presentation materials for project planning and feasibility study as well as government’s submission
• To prepare and maintain scanned drawings / documents in electronic format and update the drawing records
• To operate Excavation Permit Management System (XPMS) and Audit Inspection Management System (AIMS) of Highways Department for trenching works
• To coordinate with internal parties to facilitate the project execution
• To carry out on site quality control if required

Requirements:

• Higher Diploma/ Certificate in Civil / Structural / Geotechnical Engineering or related disciplines
• A minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience in drafting work for civil, structural, building and trenching projects
• Working knowledge of relevant local regulations, procedures, standards and codes of practice for building, civil and trenching works submission to government authorities
• Proficient in computer applications such as AutoCAD, Building Information Modelling (BIM), MS Office & Chinese word processing
• Knowledge of MicroStation and Photoshop an advantage
• Good command of English and Chinese languages, both spoken and written

Candidate with less relevant experience may be considered for the position of Technical Officer.

This is a 2-year contract position. Renewal of contract or appointment as a member of our permanent workforce is subject to the Company’s business needs and the performance of the individual.
