The Hongkong Electric Co., Ltd. in Hong Kong is seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to lead site supervision for multi-disciplinary projects at Admiralty. Reporting to the Chief Civil Engineer, you will oversee design, scheduling, budgeting and execution with 8+ years of relevant experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering with HKIE membership.
• Minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience.
• Knowledge of civil/structural design, project management and contract administration.
• Familiar with local and international regulations and codes for site supervision.
• Solid experience with MS Office and engineering software.
• Proficient in English and Chinese (spoken and written).

Responsabilités

• Participate in project management and supervision of site works including schedules, design, budgets and implementation plans.
• Assist in safety, cost and quality control across planning, schematic design, audit, construction, testing and commissioning.
• Liaise with contractors, authorities and stakeholders to resolve EHS issues and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Act as Technically Competent Person (TCP) for site supervision of civil/structural/geotechnical works.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Civil Engineer, the appointee will mainly perform the following responsibilities:

• To participate in project management and supervision of site works including formulation of project schedules, conceptual and detailed design as well as budget and implementation plans
• To assist in performing safety, cost and quality control throughout various project execution stages from planning and schematic design of site works, audit, construction, testing and commissioning to completion of works
• To liaise with internal and external parties including contractors, government authorities and public stakeholders to resolve environmental, health and safety issues and ensure compliance with legal and statutory requirements
• To perform the role of Technically Competent Person (TCP) for site supervision for civil/ structural/ geotechnical works

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering or related Disciplines with Corporate Membership of the HKIE
• A minimum of 8 years’ relevant working experience
• Good knowledge in civil and structural engineering design, project management, and contract administration in multi-engineering disciplinary projects
• Familiar with relevant local and international regulations, procedures, standards and codes of practice for site supervision
• Solid experience in computer applications including MS Office and engineering software
• Good command of English and Chinese languages, both spoken and written

Candidate with less relevant experience may be considered for the position of Project Engineer II.

This is a 2-year contract position. Renewal of contract or appointment as a member of our permanent workforce is subject to the Company’s business needs and the performance of the individual.
