Job summary

The University of Hong Kong's Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS) is seeking a Senior Technical Assistant to support proteomics and metabolomics cores. The role is a two-year fixed-term contract with gratuity and retirement-benefits contributions, starting as soon as possible.

The position involves operating sophisticated instruments, liaising with users, and advising on technical options, with training provided. Strong teamwork and bilingual communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Biomedical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry
• At least 1 year of laboratory experience with relevant skills and a commitment to quality and compliance
• Working knowledge of MS-based technologies with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese; able to work collaboratively in a team

The Role

Qualifications And Qualities

• Bachelor's degree or above in Biomedical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry or a related discipline
• At least 1 year of laboratory experience, with relevant skills and a commitment to quality and compliance
• Working knowledge of MS-based technologies with strong analytical and problem-solving skills is a definite advantage
• Self-motivated, responsible, conscientious, meticulous and capable of working collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese
• Competent in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
