Job summary

The University of Hong Kong's Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS) invites applications for a Senior Technical Assistant in the Bioresearch Support Core. The role starts as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University retirement benefits contributions, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with potential renewal subject to performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or above in Biological or Biomedical research related is a plus.
Experience in administration and procurement is preferred.
Self-motivated, responsible, have good communication skills and enjoy teamwork.
Candidates with higher qualifications or more experience may be considered for the position of Senior Technical Officer/Technical Officer.
Fresh graduates will also be considered.

Responsibilities

Provide training and technical support to users utilizing laboratory instruments.
Manage and maintain laboratory instruments.
Assist in procurement and stock management of laboratory consumables.
Handle documents and prepare reports.
Provide organizational support for events and seminars.
Perform administrative duties as assigned.
