Job summary

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) is seeking a System Development Manager for the Listing Systems team. You will oversee the design, development, deployment and production support of web applications used by listed companies, driving reliability and performance.

The role requires a degree in computer science or related fields, 8+ years in IT, hands-on Java/JavaScript/.NET with Linux/Windows and cloud microservices.

Qualifications

• Degree required as stated in job requirements.
• Minimum of 8 years of solid IT experience.
• Experience in application operations and support within regulated environments.
• Hands-on development experience using Java, JavaScript, .NET Framework, Oracle SQL/DB.

Responsibilities

• Production support and enhancement of mission critical web and cloud applications.
• Manage and participate in SDLC phases from requirements to deployment and support.
• Plan and perform regular system maintenance tasks including performance monitoring and security.

You will be involved in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support of modern web applications used by all the listed companies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Production support and enhancement of mission critical web and cloud application systems
• Manage and participate in activities of whole SDLC phases, from requirement analysis, design, documentation, system development, testing, deployment to support
• Plan and perform regular system maintenance support tasks such as technology refreshment, system performance monitoring and review, vulnerability management, production incident resolution
• Lead and coach junior team members
• Liaise with other IT teams, business users and external vendors

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT or related disciplines
• Minimum of 8 years of solid IT experience, with a strong focus on supporting and maintaining mission-critical business applications
• Experience in application operations and support within highly regulated and compliance-driven environments
• Hands-on application development experience using Java, Javascript, .Net framework, Oracle database/SQL Servers
• Good knowledge and experience with Redhat Enterprise Linux, Windows Server and web technologies
• Strong understanding in microservice architecture, container-based application design and cloud technologies
• Familiar with software development and DevOps tools, including Maven, GIT, Jenkins, dockers and Kubernetes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage both technical teams and business stakeholders
• Strong team player with a high level of attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
