Job summary

KVB Trading (Hong Kong) Limited seeks a technically proficient Network and DevOps Manager to own a hybrid-cloud environment. You will architect, deploy, and operate mission-critical infrastructure in a hands-on role within a compact team.

Lead architecture for AWS production workloads, on-prem Lenovo/VMware, and SAP/HANA support, while building CI/CD pipelines, automation scripts, and robust monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana and the ELK stack.

• 8+ years of extensive hands-on experience in IT infrastructure management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, implementation, and administration of AWS production environments (EC2, RDS, S3, KMS, VPC).
• Collaborate with development teams to build and refine CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
• Design, deploy, and maintain on-premises infrastructure (Lenovo servers, VMware vSphere).
• Manage Equinix data center hardware, networking components, and incident response procedures.
• Configure and optimize network backbone devices (Fortinet firewalls, Cisco routers/switches).
• Implement and operate enterprise backup and disaster recovery (Tape, NAS).
• Support SAP and HANA databases with performance optimization and root cause analysis.
• Act as escalation point for incidents; drive rapid resolution.
• Deploy and manage monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) for full visibility.

We seek a technicallyproficient and hands-on Network and DevOps Manager to take full ownership of our hybrid-cloud environment. This role requires acting as both the architect and lead implementer, responsible for the design, deployment, and operational management of our mission-critical infrastructure. As a key technical authority within our compact team, you will directly address complex challenges and drive continuous system enhancements. This position is ideal for a professional skilled in building scalable, resilient infrastructure with a hands-on approach.

Core Responsibilities

Cloud & DevOps Operations

Lead the architecture, implementation, and administration of AWS production environments, utilizing services such as EC2, RDS, S3, KMS, and VPC.

Collaborate with development teams to build and refine CI/CD pipelines that streamline the software development lifecycle.

Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, and Bash to reduce manual intervention across Windows and Linux systems.

Infrastructure Architecture and Management

Design, deploy, and maintain on-premises infrastructure, including Lenovo servers and VMware vSphere virtualization platforms.

Manage Equinix data center hardware, networking components, and incident response procedures.

Configure and optimize network backbone devices, including Fortinet firewalls and Cisco routers/switches.

Implement and operate enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions (Tape, NAS), conducting regular validation drills to ensure data integrity.

Deliver reliable infrastructure support for critical enterprise applications, such as SAP and HANA databases, including performance optimization and root cause investigations.

Technical Leadership and Incident Management

Act as the primary escalation point for infrastructure-related incidents, directing rapid resolution efforts.

Identify system inefficiencies, evaluate risks, and implement appropriate remediation measures.

Deploy and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems including Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack to maintain comprehensive system visibility.

Required Qualifications

8+ years of extensive hands-on experience in IT infrastructure management with proven ability to independently resolve complex technical challenges in small teams.

Expertise in Microsoft Windows Server and major Linux distributions (e.g., Red Hat, Ubuntu, SUSE).

Proficient in VMware vSphere administration and configuration of Fortinet firewalls and Cisco networking hardware.

Demonstrated hands-on experience managing AWS cloud production workloads; AWS Professional certification preferred.

Strong background with DevOps toolsets, including CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI), Terraform, and Ansible.

Advanced scripting capabilities in PowerShell for Windows and Bash and Python for Linux automation.

Experience supporting infrastructure for enterprise applications such as SAP and HANA is highly advantageous.

Self-driven with a strong ownership mindset, able to perform effectively under pressure.

Candidate with less experience will be considered as Senior Network & DevOps Engineer.

Experience or interest in leveraging AI/LLM technologies for AIOps and operational automation.
