Job summary

The University of Hong Kong invites applications for Senior Student Affairs Assistant (rank of Clerk I) in the Strategy and Operations of the Centre of Development and Resources for Students (CEDARS). The appointment is a two-year fixed-term contract with gratuity and retirement scheme contributions.

The successful candidate will provide all-round administrative and operational support for initiatives and events, coordinate daily operations, and assist with project management and stakeholder

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and preferably at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; excellent command of English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; IT skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide all-round administrative and operational support for initiatives and events.
  • Handle daily operations and event coordination; assist with project management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Utilize IT tools for documentation, budgeting and reporting; support other duties as assigned.

Job description

Senior Student Affairs Assistant (at the rank of Clerk I) in the Strategy and Operations of Centre of Development and Resources for Students (CEDARS) (Ref.: 537071), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal.

We are seeking a capable, proactive and motivated individual with a Bachelor's degree and preferably at least 3 years of relevant work experience. The ideal candidate should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and an excellent command of both English and Chinese, including Putonghua. Creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently in a fast-paced environment, and a strong sense of responsibility are essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who are passionate about student development and wish to gain broad exposure to strategic initiatives, project management and stakeholder engagement in a dynamic university environment. The appointee will join a collaborative team and provide all-round administrative and operational support for a wide range of initiatives and events, including daily operations, event coordination, project management, and other duties as assigned.

Applicants should also possess good IT proficiency, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with design, content creation and budget monitoring would be an added advantage. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and/or written test.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
