Job summary

Amazon Web Services Hong Kong Limited is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to drive AI and cloud transformations for Hong Kong enterprise customers. You will partner with multiple AWS teams to design reliable, cost-effective cloud-native architectures and engage with CxOs, Directors, Architects and Engineers to translate business goals into technical solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technology domain experience (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• 8+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders.
• 5+ years of technology/software sales experience.

• Formulate and execute a sales strategy with Business Development to exceed revenue through AWS adoption.

We are hiring a Senior Solutions Architect to work with Hong Kong Enterprise customers across multiple industries to transform their business with AI and Cloud technologies. Solutions Architects engage with customers to understand their business drivers, assess application portfolios, and design reliable and cost-effective cloud-native architectures. As a Solutions Architect, you will partner with several AWS teams to create solutions that address business problems and accelerate the adoption of AWS services.

You should enjoy thinking strategically about business, products, and technical challenges. We are looking for candidates who are comfortable at the intersection of technology and business. The Solutions Architect is a technical role - you must be broadly competent across many areas of technology (Generative AI, Agentic AI, infrastructure, security, DevOps, databases, application development, data analytics) and deep in at least 2-3 of those areas. On the business side, the ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical for our customers' successful use of AWS. The Solutions Architect will spend most of their day interacting with several customer stakeholders, including CxOs, Directors, Architects, Developers, and Engineers.

Key job responsibilities

• In partnership with the Business Development team, formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS
• As a key member of the solutions architecture team, ensure success in building, migrating and modernizing applications, software and services on the AWS cloud and AI platform
• Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud
• Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS (i.e Dev Days or Immersion Days)
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS Solutions Architect community
• Contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as white papers
• Act as a technical liaison between customers, Service Teams and Support

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 8+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
• 5+ years of technology/software sales experience
• Knowledge of general AI tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base and industry verticals
• Cloud Technology Certification (such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional or Cloud DevOps Engineering)
• Experience developing, deploying and managing AI products at scale
