Job summary

Cathay Pacific is seeking a senior IT delivery leader to drive the design, planning and delivery of enterprise IT solutions through complex, large-scale initiatives. You will work with Cathay Cargo Terminal and IT teams to align technology roadmaps with business goals.

The role offers exposure to transformation programs, leadership development and collaboration with diverse stakeholders across regions. Strong English and Chinese communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of IT experience across software development, system analysis, business analysis, solution definition and testing.
• Master’s degree preferred in Information Technology or related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Experience managing software development teams and working with outsourced/global teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-project consulting and partner with stakeholders to understand priorities and requirements.
• Co-create and maintain product and solution roadmaps aligned with business goals.
• Lead design, planning, development and delivery of IT products for medium to large initiatives.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, architects and vendors to define robust technical solutions.
• Facilitate design walkthroughs to validate alignment with business needs and IT architecture.
• Drive end-to-end delivery including planning, testing, governance and risk mitigation.
• Act as escalation point to resolve complex delivery or stakeholder issues.
• Stay current with emerging technologies to drive innovation and improvement.
• Manage team resources and external partners to ensure timely delivery.
• Coach and mentor solution analysts and team members to build delivery capability.

Role Introduction

Reports to: Portfolio Solutions Manager

This role sits within the Information Technology Department (IMT), supporting one of our subsidiaries, Cathay Cargo Terminal, through the delivery and optimisation of critical business applications.

You will gain exposure to complex, enterprise wide transformation initiatives, strengthen your leadership capability in solution delivery, and work with diverse stakeholders while shaping technology roadmaps aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre-project consulting and partner with business stakeholders to understand priorities, challenges and requirements
• Co-create and maintain product and solution roadmaps aligned with business vision and organisational goals
• Lead the design, planning, development and delivery of IT products and applications for medium to large scale initiatives
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, architects and vendors to define robust, scalable and secure technical solutions
• Facilitate solution design walkthroughs to validate alignment with business needs and IT architecture
• Drive end-to-end project delivery including planning, execution, testing, governance and risk mitigation
• Act as an escalation point to resolve complex solution, delivery or stakeholder issues effectively
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement
• Manage team resources and external partners to ensure timely and high-quality delivery outcomes
• Coach, mentor and provide direction to solution analysts and team members to build strong delivery capability

Requirements

• Degree in Information Technology or a related discipline, with a Master’s degree preferred
• Minimum 10 years of relevant IT experience across software development, system analysis, business analysis, solution definition and system testing
• Solid software development capability and proven experience managing software development teams
• Knowledge of database and Warehouse Operating System (WOS) is an added advantage
• Experience supporting 24/7 operational business environments is an added advantage
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
• Demonstrated ability to drive technical innovation and continuous improvement
• Experience working with outsourced and globally distributed teams
• Corporate project and support experience is highly advantageous
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese
